Meandering lines and whispering shapes March 8 2008:Imagine being fifty miles from nowhere out in the Werneck Mountains northeast of central Yukon; the skidoo pounding out the miles along the Wind River Trail. Survival gear and supplies are attached in the sled behind; a friend skidoos ahead on the packed trail. Everything is white and the freshness of the winter air lends colour to my face. We arrive at the first cabin on the Beaver River. I unpack while this friend leaves for the second cabin ten miles away. I feel invigorated. Whispering Dusk greets me as I look out the cabin door. My visual adventure begins in solitude for most of the winter. It is December1993.
