About Artist

It is said that her watercolours reflect an indescribable feeling, an experience, sense of quiet power, essence of restful moments, haunting mists and spirit energies of living landscapes of Canada's Yukon. One sees misty ice fogs that draw the viewer into the painting, the sun trying to peek through the mist in a prism of colour, the snowy mountain-tops on a clear winter day highlighted in hues of pinks and peach, moonlight enchanting. It is said that her works are realistic but invitingly dreamlike with a subtle weave of familiar shapes and mood bearing colours.

Moondance

I wish I could dance
to the drumbeat of a thousand horses
galloping in thunderous unison,
vibrating the earth in rhythmic song
singing and dancing in free abandonment
to the power of life
to essences
I cannot do that so I paint

Since 1976, numerous private collections around the world hold that vibration of life; the watercolour images carrying a life of their own in the quiet power, haunting mists and spirit energies of living landscapes.
